My name is Dave, I have lived in Harlow. I have been happily married to Denise for 27 years. I am the Essex ambassadors for the International Reiki Party and welcome you to join us.
I worked in a local electronics manufacturing company for 36 years which became very stressful as time went on. I was made redundant in September 2006, on the very day we returned home from a holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! What an end to a wonderful time that was. I was in total shock and dismay as I received the telephone call from my then boss telling me that I was no longer wanted.
Life goes on and I now realise that there is another life out there, in fact it was a blessing in disguise. I have now the time and energy to devote to my new found passion to teach Reiki to others.
My interests into alternative therapies started with taking a hypnotherapy course which lead onto EFT.
I have continued with various courses working alongside Denise.
We have helped each other in many ways on our journey.
During our 27 years of married life we have had issues that I believe would have split up many other couples, but we have been strong for each other and have gained many life skills that cannot be taught and can only be personally experienced to truly understand the full pain that can be felt.

My name is Denise and I was born in London I am married to Dave. I am the Essex ambassador for the International Reiki Party and welcome you to join us. My Journey into Reiki started I suppose as a child always looking at books and experimenting with the unknown as far as seeing and hearing things. I went into Nursing in London then progressed into teaching special needs and finally mainstream teaching obtaining my Teaching certificates in basic skills Numeracy, Literacy and Esol (English as second language).
After having two difficult twin pregnancies I experienced a near death which took me through the fast flowing tunnel to a place of sheer unconditional love. This was the first turning point to my new career. A path with many winding roads and goals to achieve During a major operation I had my second enlightened experience to my wonderful place.
This time I was told I had to do healing. I decided to start the road again and took up Reflexology and progressed to all other therapies. I worked in a drug rehabilitation centre for a while massaging the most vulnerable and learning how people can hit rock bottom. I started Reiki 1 in 2003 . Dave and I have now completed Master teachers in 2007
My aim now is to get more couples/partners involved in Healing. It is wonderful for couples to be able to take time to give gentle treatments to each other. It can be very loving for couples and can really help make the marriage work.
Dave and I feel opportunities are there to help every one.
